Q-ARM Kick-off Meeting in Milan

The kick-off meeting of the Q-ARM – Quantum Agile and Resilient Military Communications project took place in Milan on 3–4 December 2025, bringing together the project partners for the official launch of the activities.
Funded under the European Defence Fund (EDF), Q-ARM aims to develop secure and future-proof solutions for defence and critical infrastructure environments through the innovative combination of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and blockchain technologies.
The project will address advanced authentication mechanisms and decentralised identity management, combining post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution with blockchain-based technologies. Q-ARM will also develop a comprehensive end-to-end simulator for quantum satellite-to-ground-station communications, supporting detailed performance assessment.
The Milan meeting provided the consortium with the opportunity to align on the project objectives, technical activities and cooperation framework that will guide the implementation of Q-ARM.
TECOMS is a partner in the Q-ARM consortium, contributing its expertise to the project’s legal, ethical and data protection activities.
